About
We are pleased to announce another important step towards the local energy transition: ECUD has launched its own energy community.
Through the energy community, ECUD members can consume electricity generated by other members’ solar and wind installations. Producers can share their surplus renewable electricity within the community, while consumers benefit from lower prices, regardless of whether they have their own photovoltaic or wind power installation.
This allows renewable energy to be used as much as possible where it is generated, benefiting both producers and consumers. Existing electricity supply contracts remain unchanged. The allocation of shared energy and billing are carried out automatically using smart meter data.
Who can participate?
Participation in the ECUD energy community is currently reserved for ECUD members. Both producers and consumers can participate.
Those who are not yet members and are interested in the energy community can find more information about ECUD and how to become a member on our website.
